Stay Back and PR
The post graduate work permit (PGWP) duration is based on students’ lengths of the programmes they enrolled.
1. Less than 8 months: Not eligible for the Post graduate work permit (PGWP) program
2. 8 months – 2 years: you will get a work permit for a period equal to your course duration
3. 2 years or more: you will get 3 years stay back.
Languages
Canada is an officially bilingual country, with two official languages: French and English.
Part Time Job
All international students can work 20 hrs per week during term time and full-time work is allowed during holidays.
Cloth
A variety of seasonal clothing is required to live comfortably in Edmonton year round. Light clothing, including sweaters and rain wear for spring, summer and autumn, will be needed. For winter (approximately late October to March) warm inner clothing and heavy outerwear are necessary.
