About the course

The Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Health Care Practice is a 3 years programme. Graduates of this programme will be effective managers, leaders and practitioners in delivering holistic care. The focus will be the application of theory into practice as graduate demonstrate critical thinking skills in their leadership, managerial and practitioner role. The emphasis will be on emergency care, community health and counselling skills.

This programme has incorporated clinical placements which will enable students to gain relevant skills required by the Healthcare Industry. A research component in the curriculum will enable students to contribute new knowledge in the field of Health Care.

Career Opportunities

Upon completion of this programme, graduates can work in hospitals and private health care facilities as Healthcare Practitioners. They can also be employed in Nursing homes, Mental Health Facilities, Health Insurance Companies, Medical software companies. They can also be Medical and Health Administrators in colleges and universities and other Health and Allied Services.
