About the course
Bachelor of Information Technology (Hons) in Network Technology course is on the study of how computer networking works. It requires the students to take essential programmes in the interconnecting network devices, server operating system, designing the network, network management, wireless networking technology, network security and more. The programme focuses on developing a combination of skills in relation to networking technologies produced by Cisco, Microsoft and Linux. Students are taught the essential knowledge and technical skills in programming, networking, installing, assembling, troubleshooting and application of operating systems and internet working devices. At the end of the programme, students should be able to plan, design, manage, maintain and setup a computer network. Nearly every business depends on the smooth running of its communication networks. There is A need for professionals who know how to design, implement, secure and manage communication networks.
