Master of Information Technology course is designed to cater graduates from IT background and non IT. It is designed for individuals who hone their ICT knowledge and skills and advance their corporate position in the rapidly changing ICT sector. It aims to equip IT and non IT professionals with competitive edge skills and knowledge which will ensure them to be effective in a business environment driven by technology. The Master of Information Technology is designed for students who already have a bachelor’s degree. The course provides an advanced IT qualification. It gives the technical proficiency and theoretical base to keep pace with rapid changes in technology and business. You’ll learn essential technical skills, apply them to a range of platforms, and develop expertise in IT fundamentals, such as, algorithms, analytics, data mining, cloud computing and programming. This course provides its graduates with the necessary knowledge and skills to explain and apply appropriate information technology (IT) methodologies to help an individual or organisation achieve its goals and objectives. You’ll also learn to appreciate the scientific foundations on which IT is built, and to anticipate the changing direction of IT and evaluate and communicate the effectiveness of new technologies. This course has a strong emphasis on the application of contemporary and emerging technologies, including cloud and high-performance computing, agile web development and software project design and management. You’ll develop computer programs in a number of contemporary scripting and programming languages. This course is designed to enable students to achieve a comprehensive and greater understanding of information technology in specialised technical or management areas. The wide range of specialisations allows students to tailor the course to satisfy their career development needs. Students with an undergraduate background in an information technology-related field are advised to consider the Master of Information Technology. The course provides students with an understanding of the advanced concepts of information technology in a commercial environment so they can contribute to the development of IT solutions in their organisation.
