About the course
Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in English for Professional Communication course prepares students to communicate effectively in a professional capacity. The importance of communication as an integral part of individual success is recognised in this programme as it strives to equip students with the ability to communicate at all levels of society. The use of appropriate communicative strategies in multicultural contexts forms the basis of various discussions and coursework. Students are also guided to carry out research and abide by the principles of ethical practices in various professional contexts. Students are exposed to the varied skills of communication, advertising, public relations, writing and marketing as well as the soft skills of interacting well with people to enhance communication effectiveness. Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in English for Professional Communication course equip students who do not speak English as a first language with excellent communication capabilities for professional employment in English.
